Quality criteria for trainers or training
companies are their certifications and qualifications, years of experience and
list of references. In the case of culture-specific trainers make sure that your
trainer is a native of the respective culture or has spent several years living
and working there.
Ask yourself:- Does the
brochure identify clearly the range of services?
- Which
other companies have they helped?
- What references
can you check?
- Do they specialise in this type
of training or is it simply a sideline?
- What
experience do the trainers have of the target culture?
- How
up to date is their experience?
- How often do the
trainers revisit the country or countries concerned?
- Have
you met the trainers personally, or are you buying blind?
Always
tender for business if possible with a range of suppliers, in order to ensure
you get the best deal.
