Training
Training falls into two main categories:
  • cultural briefing
  • cultural awareness training
Cultural briefing
Choose this type of culture-specific training when you have to deal with a limited number of cultures, e.g. as a preparation for negotiations, before starting co-operation, for international assignments or as a teambuilding measure for bicultural teams.

Cultural awareness training
Choose culture-general training when you have to deal with many different cultures in different situations. This will give you an overview of cultural differences and how to deal with them. The skills developed are often known as 'intercultural skills'.

Choosing a trainer
There are considerations in employing your training provider as there would be for any supplier of services.

Course design
Think about what type of course best suits you and your business.
