Cultural Adaptation
Here's our checklist for culturally adapting all written and visual materials.

1. Read the text in your own language. Is it:
  • grammatically correct?
  • easy to read?
  • unambiguous (because, if not, you will confuse your translator)?
2. Have you consulted with:
  • local customers?
  • cultural experts?
  • a translator?
3. Have you:
  • cut out politically, morally or culturally offensive material?
  • adapted units of measurement to the local market?
  • adapted currency?
4. Have you changed or adapted:
  • the typeface?
  • photographs, cartoons, colours, symbols, names and humour?
